XES series microcomputer excitation adjustment device is the latest generation of microcomputer excitation adjustment control device newly developed by Wuhan Orid Electric Co., Ltd. The control device has the following characteristics:

◄ XES series microcomputer excitation adjustment device is dual-channel hot standby mode-dual-channel parallel operation mode. When a channel failure occurs, the control system automatically exits the failed channel through its own software and hardware diagnostic system (WATCHDOG) and mutual communication.
◄ Excitation monitoring unit:
The excitation monitoring unit uses human-machine interface as the main component, which is a very mature human-machine interaction platform in industrial control. The human-machine interface can usually choose the size of the LCD screen and the color of the display, and is equipped with a touch screen structure, which is a universal accessory in the industrial field. The man-machine interface is connected to the excitation regulator unit through the RS232C / RS485 serial communication port, so as to realize the centralized control and management of each component of the excitation system.
The excitation system monitoring unit can display the actual generator stator voltage, stator current, active power, reactive power, excitation current (voltage), pulse angle, generator frequency, regulator failure, abnormality, generator no load (grid connection) , The status of each switch, etc.
◄ Data transmission: upload to the power plant computer monitoring system through serial bus (RS232C, RS422, RS485), field bus (ProfiBus, CAN), MODBUS, etc., and can also receive control system control data.
◄ Independent excitation current adjustment channel
The hardware and software are independent excitation current adjustment channels. The single-chip microcomputer is used as the control core, and the excitation current (voltage) closed-loop PID (PI) adjustment is used to achieve the constant excitation current (voltage) working mode of the generator.
XES series excitation controller has fully considered the high versatility of the device in design. It can meet the synchronous control function of various AC and DC excitation systems, so that the control system can be well applied in various generator excitation systems.

2.1 Key Features
The biggest feature of XES series microcomputer excitation device is simple structure and powerful function. It takes ARM company's 32-bit control chip as the core and supplements the peripheral interface chip to form the entire excitation controller.
1. The excitation regulator AVR can be configured with two independent automatic channels. The voltage transformer, current transformer, and regulated power supply are not shared between the channels. The two channels are operated in parallel or master-slave mode.
2. The excitation regulator has an online parameter setting function. On the background man-machine interface, the actual values of the parameters of the regulator and the output of each functional unit can be displayed.
3. The time constant of the excitation regulator voltage measurement unit is less than 25 ms.
4. The phase shift of the excitation regulator adopts all digital phase shift.
5. The working power is supplied by two independent power sources, one of which is taken from the factory DC system and the other from the AC power system, which is different depending on the excitation method.
6. The AVR itself is also equipped with a complete software and hardware diagnostic system, which can automatically exit the operation of the fault channel when a fault occurs.
7. The excitation regulator is equipped with perfect limit and protection functions.
8. The excitation regulator is equipped with a PSS additional control unit. The PSS uses electric power plus frequency dual input signals. PSS has the functions of automatic input, manual input, output limit (± 5% ~ ± 10%) and automatic exit from failure. The output noise of PSS is less than 2% ~ 5% of the output limit value.
9. Equipped with PT disconnection protection function, which prevents the function of false strong excitation when a certain voltage transformer circuit loses voltage.
10. The manual excitation control method satisfies the test of the excitation device and the test of the generator and transformer group. No fluctuation during manual channel switching.
11. When the XES series excitation regulator is used to form the generator excitation system, the generator excitation system meets the following technical indicators:
◄ The excitation system fully meets the requirements of power generation, peak regulation, frequency regulation, phase modulation, synchronization in parallel, line charging, phase-into-phase operation, and zero-line voltage boost.
◄ Excitation system voltage response time rise is not more than 0.08s; fall is not more than 0.10s.
◄ The delay time of the excitation system is less than 0.02 seconds.
◄ Guarantee the static voltage difference of the generator ± 0.5%.
◄ When the generator is boosted from zero, the excitation regulator ensures that the maximum value of the generator voltage is not greater than 110% of the rated value, the number of oscillations does not exceed 3 times, and the adjustment time is not greater than 10s.
◄ Excitation control system voltage given step response satisfies: no-load step response: overshoot is not greater than 30% of the step, the number of oscillations is not greater than 3 times, the rise time is not greater than 0.08s, and the adjustment time is not greater than 5s.
◄ The maximum value of the generator voltage when the generator rejects the rated reactive power is not more than 115% of the rated value.
◄ The excitation voltage regulator can be adjusted stably and smoothly within the range of 10% ~ 130% of the no-load rated voltage of the generator. The voltage resolution is not greater than 0.5% of the rated voltage.
◄ Manual control can ensure that the excitation voltage of the generator can be adjusted stably and smoothly from 10% to 110% of the rated excitation voltage at no load.
◄ In the no-load running state of the generator, the given voltage regulation speed of the excitation regulator is not more than 1% of the rated voltage / s; not less than 0.3% of the rated voltage / s.
◄ The regulator uses reactive power adjustment for generator voltage adjustment. The adjustment range is not less than ± 10%. The adjustment of the adjustment rate is digitally adjusted in the whole process.
◄ When the generator is running without load, the frequency changes by 1%, and the voltage fluctuation at the generator terminal is not greater than ± 0.25% of the rated value.
◄ The average time between failures (MTBF) of the excitation regulator is not less than 24000h, the annual forced withdrawal ratio is less than 0.04%, the average failure time of the excitation device is less than 4 hours / year, the usable rate is greater than 99.0%, and the failure rate is less than 0.25 times / unit-year.
◄ Within the following factory power supply voltage and frequency deviation ranges, the excitation regulator can ensure long-term continuous normal operation.
◄ AC 380 / 220V system, voltage deviation range is ± 15% of rated value, frequency deviation range is -3 to + 2% HZ, DC 220V system, voltage deviation range is -20% to + 10% of rated value.
◄ When the AC working power supply fluctuates from 55% to 120% of the rated value within a short period of time, the excitation regulator can work normally, and it guarantees forced excitation and rapid demagnetization.
◄ Electrical equipment or components in the excitation regulator that are directly connected to the excitation winding electrically. When the rated excitation voltage of the generator is not greater than 500V, the factory power frequency test voltage is 10 times the rated excitation voltage, but the minimum is not less than 1500V; the generator is rated When the excitation voltage is greater than 500V, double the rated excitation voltage plus 4000V.
◄ The power frequency test voltage of other electrical components is: 500V when the rated working voltage is in the range of 12V-60V; when the rated working voltage is greater than 60V, twice the rated working voltage plus 1000V, but the minimum is not less than 1500V.
◄ The test voltage for operating a 220V DC circuit is 2500V. For factory system 380V loop, the factory test voltage is 3800V. Other factory test voltages shall be implemented in accordance with relevant regulations.
◄ For a 500V shake meter for signal lines, the insulation should be greater than 10MW, and for a 1KV shake meter for power lines, the insulation should be greater than 10MW ◄ The excitation regulator is not subject to any electromagnetic interference from electrical operations, lightning, static electricity, and radio transceivers on the site. Misadjustments, imbalances, misoperations, refusals, etc. can occur.
◄ The excitation regulator is equipped with software and hardware that interface with the computer monitoring system. The interface is divided into three ways: computer data communication, switching value and analog value.
◄ Data communication can use serial (RS232C, RS422, RS485), field bus (ProfiBus, CAN) and other methods.
◄ All switching inputs should be passive nodes, the detection power is + 24V (220V) 3mA, series resistance <10W, parallel resistance> 1MW; all switching outputs are passive nodes, capacity: resistive load 24 ~ 220Vdc , 5A.
